EXO has had a good year this year with their explosive album “The War.”
According to Gaon Chart, as of November 30, EXO’s fourth studio album “The War” has sold a total of 1,592,792 copies. The original album sold 1,086,307 copies while the repackage album “The War: The Power of Music” sold a remarkable 506,485 copies.
This makes their album “The War” their best-selling album to date ever since the group debuted back in 2012.
The group has become the first group in 12 years to sell a million physical copies of their first studio album back in 2013. Their 2nd and 3rd albums have also surpassed the 1 million in sales.
Back in 2016, EXO set a new record when they sold a total of 2.13 million albums overall. In addition, EXO became quadruple million seller 24 days after the release of their album “The War” back on July 9.
Their title song “Ko Ko Bop” reached the top of real time charts upon its release and is the song with the record for the longest in first place without pause on Gaon Digital Charts, the song is also the most tweeted about song in 2017.
