SBS’s hit drama “While You Were Asleep” ended last week, and its main lead Suzy sat down for an interview to talk about her recent drama.
She talked about how she felt while filming, she said,
“It was a lot of fun going to the set of the drama. I had a lot of time to think about how to express Hong Joo. It was really exciting to play the role of a reporter. The character was a big challenge for me. Looking back, I was so happy during the time I spent as Hong Joo.”
The actress has also revealed that she got help from real-life reporters while preparing for her role so she could understand better what they do, she added,
“I watched a lot of TV news as well and I also researched dramas and movies and documentaries about reporters and had practiced a lot, so I was very happy when I got positive reviews from viewers.”
She was also asked about her chemistry with Lee Jong Suk, her co-star and on-screen lover, to that she said,
“I think we worked together very well, he took good care of me and lead the drama well.”
She was also asked about how she felt when she reunited with “Dream High” screenwriter Park Hye Ryu for SBS’s “While You Were Asleep”, to that she replied,
“I am very grateful to her for allowing me to be part of such a great drama.
I was very lacking in “Dream High” and with “While You Were Asleep” I wanted to show how much I had improved myself.”
She was asked about the experience she accumulated ever since she started acting back in 2011, she said,
“I think I am still not a good enough actress, but I continue to do my best to grow and offer better performances.”
When asked about her goals as a singer, she said,
“I want to become a singer who can express herself more openly.”
