Prepare your tissues kdrama fans!
Choi Ji Woo and SHINee’s Minho have been confirmed to join the cast of the tvN remake of the classical Korean drama “The World’s Most Beautiful Goodbye.”
The drama will consist of four episodes, its written by one of the most famous Korean screenwriters Noh Hee Kyung. It tells a story about a wife who devoted her entire life to her family and sudden gets diagnosed with cancer, she prepares to say goodbye to her family.
The original drama aired back in 1996, and made Koreans shed a lot of tears, it had won multiple awards such as the Grand Prize Award as well as the Best Picture Award in the TV category of the 33rd Baeksang Arts Awards.
Actresses Won Mi Kyung and Kim Young Ok have also joined the cast and will play the mother and mother-in-law respectively.
Choi Ji Woo will play the role of Won Mi Kyung daughter Yeon Soo, who was embarrassed by her mother’s affection for her, but also dreams of becoming a good wife just like her mother.
Minho will play the role of the son Jung Soo who gives his mother trouble but become mature when he finds out about his mother’s cancer, he is running out of time trying to prove his love for his mother.
tvN’s “The World’s Most Beautiful Goodbye” will air in December after the finale of “Byun Hyuk’s Love.”
