I can’t believe that I am actually changing my mind!

As you guys have probably read, I haven’t really given good grades for episode 1 and 2, I thought it was bland, annoying, and plagued with clichés and stereotypical scenarios we’ve seen so many times before.

The more I see the more I change my mind.

I like Jung So Min’s character.

The more I see of Se Hee’s character the more I warm up to him, I still don’t like him that much but I am slowly getting there, he impresses me with his intelligence and wit as a worker, but his character is not the type of someone I’d like to be friends with or date, this is just my personal preference and has nothing to do with the way it was written.

The first two episodes still fell short in many ways but episode 3 was a lot more fun.

Of course, Ji Ho rejects his marriage proposal, she ended up sleeping in late for about 14 hours and waking up at 5 p.m. which was embarrassing considering the fact that she said she’d be out early in the morning.

All their conversations between the two are hella awkward, anything Se Hee says is very awkward, he can make the whole atmosphere a lot less tolerable, yup! That’s your mate Lee Min Ki, such an amazing actor. (Highly underrated)

Since she overslept, she eats dinner before she goes, she asks him if he liked her, but he assures her he only asked her that question because he thought she was perfect and cuts the conversation short.

I still stand by my point, I find Ji Ho’s friend Soo Ji the most interesting of the 3 main girls, and there is obviously some form of sexual harassment going on in her work place.

In the 3rd episode a lot more information on Ji Ho’s friends are introduced which I found really interesting, I like that the director cut back and forward between the 3 couples interactions.

Eventually, Ji Ho tells her friend of the sexual assault case that took place in the studio because of the assistant director.

She ends up going to sleep over in her friend’s place; she has no job, no apartment and is just wandering around without a purpose.

Later, her friend and the CEO meet up and we find out that the two have slept together, but she chose to act like she didn’t know him and left him hanging.(ouch!)

It seems like they will become a couple through the drama, they didn’t start as one, which is interesting because we get to see 3 couples in varying relationship levels.

My new favorite scene of the series happens when the senior writer tries to help the assistant director and Ji Ho make up, what a shitty attempt!

It shows you how bad it can be for a girl, how hard it is, how girls must bury such dark hurtful secrets to be able to make a living and if they refuse they cut their line, what they make a living with.

This isn’t only a problem in South Korea, this mentality exists every fucking where, the girl is always the one who is blamed for anything that happens to her and she has to cover it up.

I loved how they approached the scene realistically, how they handled it as well, it wasn’t too dramatic, it was just what could’ve happened in real life.

Thankfully, Ji ho puts an end to it and stands up for herself in the best possible way without coming off as rude, her character is designed to be loved by the masses.

Its not like there isn’t any girl close to her personality, there is but this exact combination is not easy to find, its one hella mix, it was like the writer along with the assistant writes sat down and thought very carefully about how to construct such a likeable character.

She is polite, neat but knows when and how to defend herself in case she ever needs it, yet she is unpredictable at the same time.

It feels like the writer has worked hard on making this character easy to like and relate to, nothing happening in the drama is dramatic, its all real life and real problems.

I am not contradicting myself with the review I gave last week, the thing is if a drama isn’t dramatic it can become boring, this is why dramas usually feature overly dramatic and unusual situations, they use that to capture audience.

The first and second episode ratings were below average, the third was still below average but slightly higher, but the third episode showed us that this drama can actually be realistic and interesting at the same time, which is extremely hard if you’re trying to keep your story as realistic as possible.

Anyways, Ji Ho decides its time to go back to her hometown, she has nothing left to do in Seoul, no job, no place to stay, its becoming too difficult for her.

She goes back to Se Hee’s apartment to collect her things and is shocked by his mother, she overhears the conversation, and goes out once she left. She ends up asking him why he proposed before saying goodbye.

He gave a very shockingly sad and depressing answer explaining why he chose her.

She left the script and her poster; he catches up with her and politely returns them to her before leaving her in the bus.

She goes after him and asks him to marry her, he says yes! She assures him she doesn’t like him! Because that would be the last thing they both want at the moment.

I understand why she’d ask him for his hand in marriage and why he would as well.

Although, it might seem unrealistic, with today’s society impossible standards its extremely difficult to find someone you can respect, love and have a healthy relationship with.

They’re polite to each other, she’s tidy, and he’s well-mannered.

Despite the fact that they don’t have feelings for each other (yet!) they do make good house mates.

Overall, this episode was shockingly good; I loved it more than episode 1 and 2.

I wasn’t planning on reviewing or writing about the drama but because I had free time I decided to check it one last time before I totally gave up, and I am so glad that I did!

Usually it takes me and many other kdrama fans 3-6 episodes to completely know whether a drama deserves my time or not, sometimes, its so bad I don’t watch more than 1 episode, sometimes, I stop at episode 9 or 10 because the script quality becomes bad.

I think the most interesting aspects of this drama shall be how the two fall in love with each other and how their actions and reactions change. will it be a drastic change for Se Hee or not?

Another thing I am looking forward to is finding out how will Ji Ho find her passion in life again after all that happened to her.

I am glad I was proven wrong, and that this drama is this good. Episode 4 review will be out shortly, keep an eye on the blog.

Episode 4 is even better and the ratings show it!

So what did you guys think of the 3rd episode did you like it? Lets discuss in the comment section below!
