The biggest news of the couple past days talk about one of the biggest kpop girl groups of all time. Girls Generation contracts have officially expired and they’re in negotiation state.
SM Entertainment has confirmed the news and stated that some of the members already resigned while some others are still in talks for an exclusive contract.
Girls Generation is arguably one of the biggest 2nd generation kpop groups of all time. Having made their debut back in 2007, they gained fame throughout the years for their poppy lively dance tracks, they recently celebrated their 10th anniversary with their fans.
The girls have been through so many ups and downs and still managed to become so powerful and lead the kpop scenes. They released so many amazing tracks like “I Got a Boy”, “Gee Gee” and many others.
Its time to see what will happen to the group that everyone loves.
I don’t listen to the girls but I do admit they’re fun and indivisually very talented. I see kdramas they’re in while tuning to see one of my oppas or unnies.
Some of them are really good actors, some of them ventured out to variety shows while others continued a solo singing career successfully.
There have been various rumors saying that not all the girls are re-signing, I don’t believe them and I won’t until I get an actual statement from SM itself and share it with you guys.
The girls would do just fine without each other and will do also fine with each other. The fact that their recent album was a success means they still can promote well, despite the 1 week promotions that SM gave them.
I really don’t know what will happen to the group. I hope we don’t see another disbandment news this year, too many 2nd generation girl groups are gone.
So what do you guys think will happen?
