Kdramas in general have one season, the writer, director and actors put it all in and do their best. But sometimes fans can’t help but ask for a second season.
There are some kdramas that has multiple seasons, kdramas like the “Reply” series but they air once every 2 years and each time the cast is changed along with the storyline except for the basic concept.
Dramas like “School series” has been airing for a long time and many of your current favorite actors have been a part of it in some point in their career, and they continue to do well.
Despite that, the majority of kdramas remain one season only and to many national and international fans it leaves them craving more.
So today at jazminemedia.com we compile a list of some of the dramas that the majority of kdrama fans would like a sequel to.
Take a look at the video below and let us know which drama you think deserves a sequel and when you’re done, come back here and lets talk about the dramas mentioned in the video a bit more.

Scarlet Heart Ryeo
My logical mind knows it won’t ever happen, but my fangirl mind wants it to happen badly.
“Scarlet Heart Ryeo” wasn’t an easy drama to watch and due to its plot holes, I gave up mid ways and wrote an article about it. But I still checked out recaps and so on.
The drama was really heartbreaking and I knew it wasn’t gonna end happily. I would have preferred they adapted it into a modern day drama but I know it would’ve lost its essence.
Sadly, there won’t be a part two, half of the cast is either in the army or going soon and the other half has already moved on.
I would’ve loved to see a second part of this drama.
“Master’s Sun” is a romantic comedy with a ghostly twist that was so much fun to watch.
Back in 2013-2014 Gong Hyo Jin was on a roll. First “Master’s Sun” and then “Its okay its love” she established herself as the queen of romantic comedies.
I don’t like any of her recent projects, they all fall through when I compare them to those two other dramas. But she remains an amazing actress who gives it her all with each performance.
Huge respect to unnie!
“Master’s Sun” also marked the revival of So Ji Sub who hasn’t been doing so well since this drama. His follow up dramas aren’t as good as this.
He is an amazing actor, and I do believe the Hong sisters wrote a good drama. But his recent dramas have been boring to me.
Luckily for him he is seeing a revival again. He was in a movie with Song Joong Ki and the movie is one of the highest grossing Korean movies of 2017.
I am so happy for my oppa!
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
This is merely a fan-favorite drama which is why it made the list.
Although in my opinion, this remains highly overrated #sorrynotsorry, but the cast chemistry was off the roof. Hyung Sik seemed like he genuinely cared for Bo Young.
If you’re a fan of cringy and romantic dramas that also attempts to tackle society and murderers, then this drama is for you.
My favorite part of the drama was its villain, if it wasn’t for him, this drama would’ve just been like any other romantic comedy drama.
Where is my sequel? Seriously I have been waiting for so long.
Aside from people saying this drama fell short when compared to the Japanese version, as a person who hasn’t watched the original, I think that “Liar Game” was a brilliant drama.
I know I might have had another opinion if I knew of its origin, but it still thrills me, I loved it. Japanese people have some of the most brilliant ideas ever.
What happened to the sequel? This is one of the dramas that actually left us with a cliff-hanger. I loved Shin Sung Rok’s performance in the drama. He is a delight when he plays the bad character.
Everyone in the drama did their best and I loved all of them. It was one unique drama that will leave you wanting more.
So if you haven’t watched it, check it out and thank me later!
If you’ve seen the video then you probably already know that “Misaeng” is having a second part, its only a matter of time.
I would love to see the entire main cast back but some of them grew bigger with time, some of them might not want to be back playing less than a lead role.
Its one of the best kdramas of all time in my opinion. I always recommend this drama to my friends, even if you don’t like kdramas, this drama is amazing.
Its enjoyable, the characters are relatable as fuck! It doesn’t matter where you come from you’ll relate to the main characters so much.
I rooted for Geu Rae through the 20 episodes and watched him grow through my screen, I absolutely loved him. He basically changed my perception in idol actors, I saw him as an actor rather than an idol.
He has been and will always be one of the best idol turned actors in my opinion, if you doubt him and his abilities check out the drama, he’ll correct you, like he did with me!
Calculating whatever needs to be calculated, if the main leads still wanted to come back for a season 2, it’ll probably be in 2020. Kang Ha Neul and Siwan will be out from the military and ready for action again (if they wanted to be part of the second season)
I think that if the lead cast wasn’t gonna be the same for part 2, then I’d rather they opt out. Because people will always be reminded of the good job the original cast did.
Vampire Prosecutor 3
The only one on the list that we want a third season to not a sequel.
I put it in the list because I miss it so much and I want a third season so bad.
I don’t know what went wrong and why, seriously this drama was amazing! It took on the concept of vampires differently than what was trending at the time and I loved it.
The actors, the atmosphere, the bad guy (hot and talentd, btw!) made this drama a must watch.
A lot of sites recommend this drama, and I can see why. It is an amazing drama with a Steller cast and an intriguing plot. They actually ended the drama with a cliff-hanger but decided “Hey! Lets just leave them hanging!”
I wish OCN pays attention to the drama and renews it for a third season and answer our burning questions.
So this wraps our list and my thoughts on it. What about you guys? which drama would you like to see a second season of?[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
