Things are not slowing down for “Man Who Dies To Live”.

The new MBC drama has been the center of attention and hate for the past week due to its very unpleasant and hurtful remarks and portrayal of Muslims.

Nevertheless, the drama continues to be the top drama of its timeslot, it dropped slightly compared to last week but remained in the first place.

According to Nielsen Korea, the MBC drama “Man Who Dies to Live” rated 8.1% (Ep.5) and 9.4% (Ep.6). There was a drop of 0.2%.

Meanwhile, SBS “Reunited Worlds” came in second with 6.3% (Ep.5) and 7.5% (Ep.6), while KBS 2TV “Queen for 7 Days” rated 6.5% coming in last place.

“Man Who Dies To Live” talks about a business man who lived in an arab country, it featured so many insensitive representations of Muslims and angered many Muslim kdrama fans from around the world.

Many fans had petitioned to stop MBC from airing anymore episodes due to the way they represented Islam.

MBC ended up releasing an official statement apologizing to the public for the incorrect representation of Muslims, and promised to be more careful in upcoming episodes.
