It hasn’t been long enough since the mega star Kim Woo Bin was revealed to be suffering from nasopharyngeal cancer.

The actor and his girlfriend Shin Min Ah have been recently spotted in and out of hospital to receive his treatment.

Recently Channel A’s program “Heard it through the grapevine” dug into more details regarding the actor’s rare cancer.

A reporter talked about how the actor had to stop filming for his upcoming movie following the sudden diagnosis of his illness.

The reporter said” Kim Woo Bin’s neck suddenly started getting inflamed, his nose started bleeding a lot as well. After a visit to the doctor he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.”

The host of the show explained more about the actor’s very rare cancer saying:

“Nasopharyngeal cancer is a rare type of cancer that causes tumors in the back of the nose to the top of your mouth. And if the cancer cells travelled upward it can cause a cranial nerve paralysis. It is very rare and only happens to 1 in 100,000 people”

Another reporter chimed in and talked about what the actor is currently doing saying:

“He is currently resting so he can fully concentrate on treatment. At first he refused to stop filming afraid of becoming a burden to the film makers, once the production team found out they told him he should stop and focus on receiving treatment until he gets better.”

His upcoming movie “Wiretap” is halting production until the actor’s condition gets all better.

The actor is currently receiving radiation and medication therapy.

We wish the actor the speediest recovery!

Hang in there oppa!
