Nam Joo Hyuk Discusses Similarities Between His Character And Goblin’s Gong Yoo

Some reporters couldn’t help but ask Nam Joo Hyuk about the similarities of his character to Gong Yoo’s character in Goblin.

The main cast of the upcoming tvN drama “Bride Of The Water God” gathered for the press conference before the drama premieres on July 3rd.

Nam Joo Hyuk will be taking on the role of water God Ha Baek, during the press conference he asked about the burden of the character he had to play.

He gave this response:

“I was attracted to the content of the script not burdened by it, its really fun.”

Another reporter asked him how he feels about the similarities of his character to Gong Yoo’s character in Goblin.

He gave an excellent response saying:

“It wasn’t something that crossed my mind while filming. When I read the script, this way of speaking just came to be naturally”

The highly anticipated tvN drama “Bride of the Water God” is a fantasy romance about the water god Ha Baek, who comes down to earth to meet his human bride. The human bride is Yoon So Ah and will be played by Shin Se Kyung, she plays a doctor who’s family has been saving the water god for generations.

The drama is the modern adaptation of the manhwa with the same title and is set to air on July 3rd after Circle finishes its run.
